Providing horse riding opportunities for the disabled

Our helpers are a very valuable part of the Margaret Haes Riding Centre. We have many volunteers who help with a number of important jobs that help the riding centre to run smoothly. Without them we couldn’t possibly function.

We would like to say a huge thankyou to all of our helpers!

What it takes to become a helper

We are always looking for volunteers to help us here at the Margaret Haes Riding Centre. They play a very important part in making riding for the disabled successful and enjoyable. A helper needs dedication.

For insurance purposes, volunteers must fall within the 13 to 75 year age category. No experience with horses is required as training and guidance are given for weekend volunteers. Previous horse experience is required for weekday volunteers.

Volunteering for Margaret Haes Riding Centre

Margaret Haes Riding Centre relies on the input and support of volunteers — people who want to share in the fun and excitement and be part of the environment that brings horses and people together for such great benefit.

We need volunteers with a wide range of skills — not just those who help with riding , but also fundraisers, committee members and people to help with a bit of DIY.

We need help even for as little as one hour every week. We will show you what to do and maybe even provide you with coffee and biscuits!

If you would like to help, please phone 01706 821337 or email mhrc@hotmail.co.uk.
